Austin Young is a Los Angeles based artist working with photography and film. His short films have over 5 million hits on youtube. He is one third of the collaborative art group, Fallen Fruit. Since 1985, Young has created an encyclopedic documentation of sub and trans culture in New York, Los Angeles and San Francisco. His subjects include Leigh Bowery, Dame Edna, Lypsinka, Peaches Christ, Jer Ber Jones, Lady Bunny, Squeaky Blonde, and Jeffree Star. His celebrity portrait subjects include Oliver Stone, Siouxsie Sioux, Sandra Bernhard, Olivia Wilde, Simon Cowell,Margaret Cho, Diamanda Galas, Elvira, Deborah Harry, and Amy Poehler. Youngs portraits and art have been featured in major publications all over the world including Vogue, Rolling Stone,Flaunt and Interview Magazine.
